Since 1990, Paterson Fire Association has held Toy Drives to make the holidays special for every needy child in Paterson.
 

Every weekend in December, firefighters hold Boot Drives at various intersections throughout the city, collecting donations from passersby. The funds collected would go towards gifts for the children. Then the gifts are distributed from shelters and hospitals to local apartment buildings and homes.
